Dear Parents/Patients,

The Pediatric Clinic is committed to providing our patients and family's access to quality medical care every hour of the day. Though we have a physician on call 24 hours a day, as most of you know, we also employ a telephone triage service for after hours calls. We have used them for many years and we give the nurses our protocols on handling calls. If  a nurse has a concern or a complicated question, they call the physician for more guidance.

Each year the charges associated with after hour calls increases. We are now charged a flat fee per patient call to our after hours service. Please help us keep this a no charge service to you by only accessing our after hours service with true emergencies. All basic medical questions and pharmacy calls should be made during normal business hours.

The American Medical Association has designated telephone service CPT codes to bill for after hour calls. We at The Pediatric Clinic have absorbed this cost through the years. Please help us continue to be able to absorb this cost ourselves by limiting your after hour calls to emergencies only.
